Ronya Wapstra

Owner, Director & Lead Teacher

Bachelor’s degree in education in Sweden from the University of Gävle in 2015.

Initial and Short Certificates in Early Childhood Education with Specialization in Infant and Toddler Care in 2022 from Lake Washington Technical College.

I am Ronya Wapstra, the owner of Swedeheart Childcare. I am originally from Sweden. I have over 10 years of experience in early childhood education. I have worked as a lead teacher and a program coordinator in various settings.

I believe in the value of “learning through play”, emergent curriculum, and the importance of providing lots of outside time for little ones.

I opened Swedeheart Childcare in the Winter of 2024 with my own child (almost 2 years old) as my first little Swedeheart. My passion for providing a caring and loving environment for your child to learn and grow in has only deepened over my years of experience.

I had a wonderful experience growing up and working in a nurturing, play-based environment. I will strive every day to create the same impact on your child and to become their home away from home!
